Typeracer Granted US Trademark

Posted on December 7, 2013. Filed under: TypeRacer News |

Congratulations are in order, as Typeracer has finally been granted a registered trademark by the United States Patent and Trademark Office!

It’s been a slow process, with Typeracer CEO Alex Epshteyn first applying over 7 months ago. But, as of last week, Typeracer finally has the “®” that it deserves!

As some of our users may know, Typeracer is proud to be the first game of its kind. It may also be the single largest online community dedicated to typing. Although there my be other typing games on the internet, there will only ever be one Typeracer!

Once again, thanks to everyone who has played Typeracer over the years. Your feedback, suggestions, and even complaints over the years have been essential to Typeracer’s development, and we wouldn’t have reached this point without you. We hope this is just the beginning, though, so keep racing, and let us know what you love about Typeracer, as well as what you don’t love so much, so that we can keep making Typeracer better!

See you on the racetrack!

Congratulations! I love TypeRacer®.
But there’s some inconsistency in capitalizing the name: is it TypeRacer or Typeracer? Both appear in various places around your site.

Congratulations to all the typists here on TR and especially to Alex. And I hope to see further changes in the game in near future.

What’s this?

Hello !! Congratulation for this achievement we are really happy that we see such effort spent in such edutainment services.
I have one simple question is that which Programming languaue was used in building This amazing type racer?

Congratulations Typeracer® !!! So that’s what has been keeping you all so busy! Fantastic news!
Now maybe we will get to see all those new features you have been promising us! 😀

Typeracer is very unique because you type while racing cars.

I honestly don’t like this game…Sorry but there are SO many restrictions for the standard accounts…I DON’T LIKE IT!

Hi Anonymous,

What restriction are you referring to on non-premium accounts?

David Pritts

😡 I don’t like all of the restrictions for the “standard” members….Please fix that…
Invader Lazer

Hi Anonymous,

Which restrictions? Sometimes I wonder if we give enough bonuses to premium members!

Thanks for the feedback.
